This range bag will be my go-to trap and skeet bag. While it has room for six boxes of shells, I doubt I'll actually carry more than three in it at any one time (I always have additional shells in the trunk of my car). I'll use the spare space to carry more essentials, such as choke tubes, a spare pair glasses and earplugs, and maybe an extra boresnake or some grease and CLR. This is not an especially large bag, so it requires a bit of prioritization for carrying what you'll actually need and are likely to use. I like the size, though; it's not like lugging a briefcase or overnight bag around, like some of the oversize Cordura range bags folks have. With some thought, it will hold just what you really need.And, as one would expect from Wild Hare, it is very well built, of top notch leather. All seams are straight and evenly sewn; hardware is solid brass, robustly cast, and securely attached; and the zipper placements and ergonomics are well thought-out. Leather is soft and glove-quality, totally free of any blemishes or imperfections. Carries an unlimited lifetime warranty--almost unheard of today for anything other than the best made products. This is certainly one of them, so it's no surprise Wild Hare will stand behind it.Picked this up at a ridiculously low half-price offer, too.UPDATE: August 11, 2021Just wanted to update my earlier review to recognize outstanding customer service from Peregrine Sports, which makes the Wild Hare line. a couple of weeks ago, the zipper on the side compartment of this bag came unhooked and could not be brought back together. I emailed customer service, started an email dialogue with one of their service reps, sent her a few photos to verify the problem, and had a new bag arriving to my door in less than a week total. No charge for the new bag or the shipping.This kind of no-quibbling, prompt, full-service honoring of their warranty is yet another reason to choose Wild Hare. Clearly they stand behind their products.
